About James Snidle

James Snidle, graduated with a Masters in Fine Arts from California State University at Chico in 1980. I completed a program in Appraisal Studies in Fine and Decorative Arts at New York University in 1990. I am an active member of the Appraisers Association of America which sponsored that original study program.

I have maintained an art gallery for twenty years, buying and selling fine art locally and nationally and in a few cases internationally. I have been involved in the estate liquidation business for over twenty-five years. I have owned and operated antique and fine art businesses spanning 30 years in both San Francisco and Chico California. I have extensive experience of Fair Market Values as well as Insurance Replacement Values, and liquidation values.

I have worked for attorneys, fiduciaries, surviving members and heirs of estates, and for people that are simply downsizing. I have been called as an expert witness in litigations dealing with antiques and fine arts.
